Lesson 3: Adding Text

A.   Follow the step-by-step demo instructions for this chapter exercise (see chapter 3 lecture presentation).

B.   Download the attached HTML document - chapter3.zip file to your Desktop.

C. Open chapter3.html document in Wordpad.   

D.  Add and apply the same markup language tags (HTML code & syntax) illustrated in this chapter in your web page.  Save the document as a text file with an .HTML extension.   View and verify your web page in your browser.

E.  Attached is a sample of the HTML document and the desired output web page after adding the HTML tags.

F.  Save your HTML document as chapter3.html.

G. Verify if the HTML document- chapter3.html passes the W3C Markup Validation Service. You will need to upload your HTML document to the site- http://validator.w3.org/.

H. Zip up you chapter3.html document.

I.   Upload and submit your Chapter3.zip file in the COMSC-30 Canvas Chapter 3 Assignment drop box.
